Enrolment into Year 7 (for students currently in Grade 6)

To apply for Year 7 the Department of Education and Training (DET) opens the enrolment process in March/April of each year. All applications and enquiries may be made through your child’s primary school.
If your child is attending a non-government school, the DET application form will be available for you from April each year and should be submitted through your child’s primary school. If you have not received this form, please contact us directly by emailing greenvale.sc@education.vic.gov.au
If you reside outside our enrolment neighbourhood area, you may be asked for other documentation.

Information on how to find, enrol, and start a child in your
care at a school in Victoria is available on the Victorian
government website.
To enrol your child at our school:
- Select the ‘Book a Tour’ button above / Complete our
enrolment expression of interest and populate all the required fields
displayed - We will assess eligibility to attend based on our
school zone and the Department’s Placement Policy (see the School zones
section below for more information) - Attend the school tour where / If you are eligible for
enrolment we will provide an enrolment pack (including enrolment form) - Submit the Enrolment form and additional required
documents (outlined below)
Required documents

Please note that documents will be reviewed and certification may be requested on a case by case basis.
Required documentation includes:
- 100 points as proof of residence – (Click Here To View 100 Point Document)
- Completed enrolment form
- Enrolment documentation checklist – (Click Here To View Enrolment Checklist)
- Evidence of identity and date of birth (for example,
a birth certificate or
passport)
You will also be required to provide information about:
- your contact details
- emergency contact details
- health information about your child (such as allergies
or illnesses they need to manage) - other legal orders relating to your child and their
welfare (if any)
At an independent or catholic primary school requesting placement
At any school, requesting mid-year placement into year 7
At any school, requesting placement into year 8 or above
